FIRST FLIGHT COVERS.   These are covers, which may consist of envelopes, postal cards, postcards and others, authorized by postal authorities to be flown on the initial fight of an aircraft to and from a specified route.  Along with postmarks from the originating post office, usually, a flight cachet is also applied to the covers with some information about the flight.  These covers receive a backstamp from the receiving post office.

COMMEMORATIVE FLIGHT COVERS.  These are covers flown to commemorate certain events, usually flight or airmail related.  Have all the characteristics of a First Flight Cover. 

This section will provide listing and information about flight covers of the Republic era (1946 to the present). 

However, due to the significance played by Manila in the development of international air travel, there will be a special section on Pan American Airways, which paved the way for international flights.
